A Weekend I'll Never Forget!!

It was an amazing weekend with all of my family members. I don't remember the last time we were all together. I don't even remember the last time I laughed so hard I cried and my face hurt. It was a sad Sunday when they all left, but I spent most of Sunday laying on the couch recovering. I'm still exhausted today!

Saturday morning the entire family was over at our house and they surprised Nan for her 80th birthday! We took her to one of her favorite restaurants for her 80th birthday celebration. She was so surprised!!! Now you know why I couldn't give details in the last post, because it was a surprise and she reads my blog. :) We all got dressed up for dinner and took family photos. Then, the girl cousins stayed over for a sleepover.

It was a weekend full of laughs, getting caught up with each others' lives, eating A LOT of food, and making memories!

Here is what I wore to the surprise birthday dinner! I'm transitioning to Spring by pulling out some pastel colors, but keeping some black because it is still very cold here in Ohio. I'm obsessed with everything yellow right now if you didn't already notice. Ha!!

How often do you get to see your entire family together? It's very rare for us, so that's why it was so great and I cherished every moment! The weekend went by too fast!

Surprise Birthday Party!

Last night I went to one of my best friend's surprise birthday party! She was definitely surprised! It was so fun! Her actual birthday was Thursday and she sent my friends and I a snap chat yesterday that said "Well my birthday is over.....at least it's Friday!" and she had a kind of sad face. Little did she know her birthday celebration wasn't over yet!!! :) It was nice to chat and catch up with some friends while I was there. It was so funny because we all wore stripes and we didn't even plan it. Ha!

Today when I left for school, there was black ice all over the roads. The buses to school were running late because of the black ice. This made our entire day start about a half hour late. Then, it began to storm with thunder and lightening. I haven't seen a thunderstorm since the summer time. It was kind of nice and it's making the snow melt. Now, everyone is worried about flooding. Ohio has some crazy weather. I feel like I've said that so many times!!!!

I got so many compliments on this outfit today! My favorite compliment was "You look like how I dress up my dolls." I loved it!!!!

Sunny Weather!

Well, yesterday we had a snow day....yes another one. The good news is, during the afternoon the roads were clear and the snow was melting because of the sunny weather. Today, is another beautiful sunny day and the snow is continuing to melt!! That means SPRING IS IN THE AIR!!!! Woo hoo! Finally! Hopefully the snow is done for the winter.

I brought out some bright and sunny yellow for my outfit today. It definitely made my mood a sunny one! At school, our behavior charts aren't by colors it's by your weather. For example, every student starts on a sunny day, but their weather could change depending on how they are acting. If they misbehave they clip their name down to partly cloudy and then to cloudy, stormy, and if they change their bad behavior into awesome behavior, they get to be on the rainbow. It's pretty cool and it really works. We always ask each other at school, "What's your weather like today?". Mine was totally sunny today!!!! My outfit might have helped a little :)

This past weekend I got my hair cut and my gray hairs colored! Ha! I love it!

This outfit also matched my new teacher bag for Spring! During my snow day yesterday, I went to Walmart and found this amazing tote in so many colors for only $18!!! It's quite spacious, which I love! They had it in green, royal blue, red, yellow, black, black and white striped, and royal blue and white striped. I was definitely in Spring mode yesterday when the sun came out and the snow was melting.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Today I was one spoiled teacher with all of the candy and valentines I received. I was so surprised and so overwhelmed by all of the love. It made my day! Then, I got home and my step-dad got my mom and I our favorite local chocolates from Dietsch's!! He always spoils us for Valentine's Day! :)

I Love All Things Nautical!

I wore this yesterday for our 2 hour delay day because we can wear jeans on delay days! We call them "Denim Delays".

I love all things nautical! I believe you can wear nautical things all year long! I dream of summer weather on the boat or at the lake, while wearing this outfit and I'm still wearing red for Valentine's Day week. :)

Pastel Pink and Bows!

Today we had yet another school delay for cold temperature. This winter needs to end sometime soon. Spring? Where art thou? Ha! It's 5:13 and I'm already in my pajamas! I have been tired lately. Today, I didn't even wake up to the 2-hour delay alert and I usually always do. I woke up to my normal alarm, saw the alert and went back to sleep for 2 more hours. It was nice. Has anyone else been exhausted lately? It might be the cold weather or being used to having so many days off and delays.
