Peach and Black is Halloween-ish right?? I'm trying to pull out all of my Halloween colors this week. Can you tell? Haha! I think I'm finally recovering from my weekend and the very little sleep that I got. Yay! I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping in this weekend and relaxing. Wally works all weekend, so I won't be seeing much of him. Boo hoo... Listen to me, already looking forward to the weekend and it's only Wednesday. Ha! :)
I'm going orange and black for the week! It's Halloween week, which means crazy and excited students!! We read scary stories today in class. The kids loved it even though they really weren't very scary, so they all felt so cool saying "That's not scary!!". Today is our small town's Halloween Parade, which is always a popular event. I remember going every year as a kid and everyone throws candy to you and you get to wear your costume. One year, I had the flu and couldn't go and I felt like it was the end of the world because it's so much fun. Then, on Thursday we have our school's Halloween Parade, classroom parties, and trick or treat!! It's a fun and busy week! :)
This weekend I drove 8 hours with my cousin to Virginia Tech where our other cousin goes to school. Driving through the mountains in the fall was absolutely gorgeous. The weather could not have been more perfect. We had an absolute blast!!! It was fun to be a college student again for a weekend. We went to the football game and it was so much fun!!! We learned all of their cheers, did the "Hokey Pokey" and almost lost our voices screaming so much. It's fun to go on road trips!
My awesome cousins :) Tailgating with the mountains in the back.
Game time! Let's go Hokies!!
We had the best time!!
I made it back safely with so many more memories, new experiences, and my heart was full of happiness! Road trip to hang with my cousins was a complete success!! I can't wait for the next one!
Today, I wore some of my favorite Fall colors (navy, orange, and shades of brown). As I was leaving school, it started to snow!! Is it bad that I instantly wanted to sing Christmas songs? Ha! My favorite holiday and favorite time of year! Last weekend when it rained all day long, my mom and I watched Christmas movies on Netflix all day! Oops! Haha! I'm obsessed!! Exactly 2 months and one day until Christmas!! Yay! I can hardly wait :)
Well, this week has been full of meetings and I have been so busy getting ready for my trip to Virginia Tech with some of my cousins for a girls weekend and the football game against Duke! It's going to be a blast!! I'm sure you will see a bunch of pictures when I get back. It will be fun to be a college student again for a weekend :)
Orange Button Down from Forever 21 similar to this for $19.80.
I have always seen those JustFab shoe commercials where the girls are screaming about $39.95 for a pair of shoes. Well, I thought $39.95 is pretty expensive for one pair of shoes (for me anyways). I was browsing on Facebook one day and I saw that they were having a deal where you buy 2 pairs for $39.95. I got a pair of boots and these neon flats for $39.95 at JustFab.com! Now, that's a deal!!!
Neon Necklace from Amazon similar to this for $18.99.
I hope everyone had a sweet weekend because Sweetest Day was on Saturday. If you have never heard of Sweetest Day before, it's a holiday that Hallmark came up with just to make some money. Wally and I never really celebrate it, but every year I bake sweets for my sweet on Sweetest Day! :) This year I made Camouflage Cupcakes and it was so much fun and Wally was very impressed. He loved them not only because they were camo, but because they tasted "deeeeelish" (his words exactly).
Yesterday, was a beautiful day for one of my best friends' wedding. It was my last wedding for the year 2013 and it was an absolute blast!! Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner was Thursday evening after work. We had Greek food and it was delicious. Then, we went back to the bride's parent's house to stay the night with the bride and all nine bridesmaids. Here is what I wore to rehearsal.

The bride has been a dedicated runner all her life and has ran in many races. These were our gifts from her. Love them!
Yesterday we woke up to a huge breakfast cooked by the bride's father. YUM! We headed to our hair appointments and rode in a limo to the venue. Then, the bride became a wife. We danced all night long and had a lantern send off. It was so much fun!!
Best friends since 6th grade!!
Our feet hurt. Resting before pictures. Our dresses were pistachio, charcoal, and navy. The flowers were purple and green. Beautiful fall colors.

It was an awesome awesome wedding! We had so much fun celebrating our best friends. Enjoy your weekend everybody!!
I just got home from school a few minutes ago because we had parent teacher conferences. This picture is awful quality, but it was too dark outside. It's been a long day of teaching, my after school program, and conferences. They provided dinner for us, which was a ton of soups, salads, breads, and desserts. I ate WAY too much because it was all so good!
Because parent teacher conferences were tonight my crazy hat had to be a bit professional. No matter what I would have hat hair. Boo. There were a bunch of fun hats today. I saw a lot of "Goofy" hats, hats that light up, etc. One girl had a hat with a bunch of balloons all over it! It was so cool!
Of course Bear had to be in the picture too! I was so happy to come home and see his face after such a long day!
This is totally not a blog worthy outfit what so ever, but many of you wanted to see my spirit week outfits. Haha! Today was "Super Hero Day" and I saw some fantastic super hero outfits. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of military uniforms and they are our true super hero's!! Also, I saw a lot of breast cancer awareness shirts because anyone who has fought is a true super hero as well. Of course I saw Superman, Batman, Cat Woman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, etc. too. Here is my homemade Super Hero Outfit from Hobby Lobby! I was called "Super Miss D" and "Zebra Woman" all day!
Me trying to be cool! Ha!
Here are some of the wonderful teachers I work with every day!!!
Happy October everyone!! October is breast cancer awareness month, so pull out all of the pink in your closet and support those you have lost the fight and for those won't quit fighting against breast cancer.
