Pinned It & Did It- My Favorite Christmas Present!

pinneditanddidit

This is my first post in the year 2014! I can't believe it's been that long since I last posted. I hope everyone had a great New Years celebration. Wally had the flu, so we watched movies on the couch. After, Wally had the flu my brother had the flu and then my step-dad had the flu. I heard it was going around, but I didn't think it'd be all around me. My step-dad, Pat is just now getting over it, so I think my mom and I are in the clear (crossing my fingers I don't get sick). We have been washing our hands and using Lysol wipes to wipe down everything. Make sure you are taking your vitamins, this flu seems pretty nasty and lasting for days.
This past weekend we had A LOT of snow. We were supposed to go back to school on Monday, but we had a snow day. We had a snow day Tuesday and Wednesday as well. I was going a little stir crazy stuck in my house with all the flu germs. Today, we had a 2-hour delay and I was so happy to be going back to school to see all of my students! The roads were still pretty slippery and snowy though. I haven't had a chance to do an outfit post this week because I've been in my pajamas on the couch during my snow days.
Today, I finally got to put effort into what I was wearing for school. I always loved wearing my new clothes from Christmas on the first day back to school. I saw and heard about so many Christmas presents today from my students. Aside from our flood and blizzard, it seems like the kids had GREAT Christmas'. I wore my favorite Christmas present today. My J. Crew herringbone vest!!! I've been pinning SO many outfits with this vest on Pinterest, so I had to wear one today. I got lots of compliments.
I'm linking up with the fabulous Heather from Style Journey for the Pinned It & Did It link up.

  11. Love it!! I have been looking for a pink sweater like that. If you are in Findlay, where do you do your shopping? The mall there doesn't seem to have a good selection of stores. My daughter lives there and goes to the university and is looking for a great place to shop; Forever 21 is her favorite store. Her classes were cancelled for the first 3 days of the week and she was so bored. :) Do you live by the river and were affected by the flooding? Sorry to hear about all the sickness; hopefully you stay healthy! Have a good weekend!

    1. We love in the highest part of Findlay thank goodness!!! No floods here! I shop at the TJ Maxx a lot and I shop at Kohl's. Otherwise, I'm an online shopper because of our bad selection of stores. Haha! If I want to shop at Forever 21, the closest is in Perrysburg. It's a cute little outlet mall called Fallen Timbers :)

    2. Thanks! I know exactly where Fallen Timbers is; we pass it on the way to my husband's cousin's house. I'll let my daughter know about it. She often goes to TJ Maxx, and she was happy they opened a Plato's Closet. She lives on that side of town. When she was looking for places to live, we knew to stay away from the river. We see on the news how bad the flooding can be.
