Yet another wedding!

This weekend another one of my best friends got married and she was absolutely stunning. The wedding was beautiful. It has been an awesome summer celebrating all of my friend's getting married and seeing them so happy. My happiness is seeing others happy and that is what brings tears to my eyes at every single wedding I have gone to this summer. There is still one more wedding this year in October, so I have a month off of wedding things for now. Ha. I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend!

Shades of Blue!

Tomorrow is Friday, which means I've almost made it through my first week of teaching. Yay. All of the teachers are going out to celebrate after school tomorrow. I'm so excited. My school and the people I work with are so awesome and so positive. I love it. Today, I wore many shades of blue and I got so many compliments. Although, our school has no air condition, so I was pretty hot all afternoon when the sun was beating in my classroom. Do you ever go out with coworkers to celebrate things you have accomplished as a team?

Blue floral skirt from Target for $22.99.

Computer Geek?

I told you all that I'm the computer teacher and a title one teacher. Well, this week has been mainly about computer and getting the laptops, ipads, and ipods up and running for the students. I spent my entire afternoon working with the school district's tech person. His sister was one of my roommates in college, so I already knew him and was comfortable asking LOTS of questions. He helped me a lot and I almost feel like I'm becoming a computer geek like my parents. Ha. I think I've told you all that my entire family works with computers and I'm the odd ball in teaching, but I would not trade my job for the world. Well, when I told them I'd be a computer teacher they laughed and said "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". They sucked me into being a computer geek too. Ha.  :) I'm loving every minute of it. I especially love seeing and teaching all of the students in the entire school. It's been a busy, exhausting, but GREAT first week so far.

Back To School!!

Yesterday was our first day back to school and it was an amazing day! All of the kids were as excited as the teachers were. I was crazy busy all day, but it was a blast. We had to wear our school's Leadership- 7 Habits shirts on the first day, so today I get to wear my "real" first day of school outfit. Haha. I had it planned before they told us we had to wear the t-shirts. Did you ever plan your first day of school outfits in school and take first day of school pictures? I've always loved wearing my new school clothes and new school shoes, even as a teacher. Ha.

Colorful Dress from TJ Maxx (NOW) similar to this for $30
Brown Skinny Belt from Forever 21 (old) similar to this for $5.80.
Tribal Neon Bangles from Love Culture (NOW) $11.90.

Tonight I'm going to my friend's Premier Jewelry and Tastefully Simple Party. I'm excited to look at jewelry and eat some yummy food with some great girls. :)

Classy Classroom!

All week I have been attending meetings, going to New Teacher Orientation, Convocation, and setting up my classroom! It has been crazy busy. Tomorrow I will be back to posting classy teacher outfits and I'm so excited about it. I'm extremely excited for this school year. It's going to be a blast. This post is dedicated to my classy classroom, instead of my classy outfit. :) Happy back to school week to all of you teachers who start back either tomorrow or sometime this week.

Welcome!

Bulletin board that I share with the teacher next to me! We are a "Leader In Me School".

My desk that will hopefully stay this clean all year. My mom is making curtains for the windows. I'm excited. She's the best.

My beautiful chair that Wally surprised me with this week. :) He was definitely my helper this week.

We are a Title 1 Reading Classroom, but I'm also a Computer teacher. I will be putting the students' picture as the screen of each ipod. :)

Every classroom needs a calendar.

We are an intermediate school, so I will work with grades 3-5.

Teachnology and Reading again. :)

That's the cute details of my classroom. I had a lot of fun setting it up and I'm sure I will be adding to it all year long. Ha. How would you set up your classroom? What theme would you do? Mine is clearly zebra and pink. :)

New Job and a Fun Weekend!

Thank you again everyone for your wonderful thoughts about my interviews and job search. I can officially say I have accepted a job as a title one reading teacher and computer teacher at my favorite school that I subbed at this past school year!!! I can't wait to be in the same school every single day and seeing the same people every day. I'm really excited for this next step in my journey to get my dream teaching job. School starts in less than two weeks, so it's full panic mode. I get a full size classroom that I will be sharing with another title one teacher. :)

Also, this past weekend I went to Nashville for one of my best friends' bachelorette party weekend. It was an absolute blast. We stomped our boots all over that town. :)
