Black and Blue Can Be Cute

The shoe of the day (I wish!):
Every year for Christmas I get the 365 Days of Shoes Calendar from Colin. ;) He knows me so well! This year he got me the desk calendar of it too! I absolutely love this gold sandal for today, if only it was warm enough to wear cute strappy sandals! The weather can't make up it's mind lately. Today, I wore a black, gray, and bright blue outfit. I had two of my very sweet 3rd grade students take this picture of me today! I just can't get enough of how much they love to be helpful! I used to think black and blue was a definite NO, but I believe if the blue brightens up the black, it looks very CLASSY (my favorite word)!! How do you all feel about wearing black and blue together?
Bright blue headband is from Walmart (2 years ago) $3.56 for a 6-pack!
Black and Silver Necklace is from Forever 21 (last year) like this one $6.80
Basic Royal Blue Long Sleeve from Forever 21 (last year) $9.80
Gray Ruffle Sweater from Eddie Bauer Clearance (last year) $29.99
Jessica Simpson Black Dress Pant (last year) $44.00 These are super cute too even though they aren't the same ones as last year and they come in white!!
Liz Claiborne Gray Herringbone Heels from TJMaxx (NOW) $29.99! I used to never wear heels to school because I couldn't get through the day without my feet killing me, so I got these because the heels are mid-size and they are thicker. Surprisingly they are SO comfortable and my feet last me the whole day! It's a miracle!!

Brighten Up A Cloudy Day

This week the weather has been rainy, cloudy, and foggy. The temperature today got up to 61 degrees! We had a fire drill at school and it was actually pleasant to be outside. Spring was in the air!! I decided to not even try to straighten my SUPER thick, long hair with this weather because it will just frizz right back up. If anyone has any tips on how to make that not happen, that would be AWESOME! I hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday!
Red Jersey Dress from Target (NOW) $27.99
Patterned Scarf from J. Crew Outlet (this year) $19.95
Brown Tights from Eddie Bauer (a few years ago) like these $13.99
Breckelles Tan Riding Boots from Amazon (this year) $36.75

Great Find!!

I've alway been unhappy with my makeup (foundation to be exact). I've tried Mary Kay, Clinique, Estee Lauder, and nothing seemed to last throughout my teaching day. Well, my mom told me to try Loreal because she had tried it and loved it. I was like, there is no way I'm getting my makeup from Walmart because my skin is pretty sensitive and would probably break out, but I gave it a try anyways. Haha! This week I ventured out in the freezing cold to Walmart (Thank goodness it's 5 mins. away.). They had a handy "True Match card" to find which shade you should get and it works with all the Loreal foundations and powders. Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing and it's only $8!!!! It lasts all day and all evening! I definitely recommend it to anyone!

On the right is the Loreal Infallible Makeup and it's called the No Fail Makeup (I couldn't have said it better myself.) and it says it lasts 18 hours! It's so right! On the left is the Loreal True Match Naturale Foundation Powder. It lasts all day long too! My mom uses the Loreal Visible Lift Makeup and she loves it! So far, Loreal products have our vote!

*Bundle Up*

This past week I started my very first long term substitue job (3 whole weeks). It's nice being in the same school with the same class every day. Well, we didn't have school Monday for MLK Day and we had two 2-hour delays for extremely cold temperatures. All I wanted to do was stay in my warm bed, but that wasn't going to happen, so I aimed for warmth this week!! Stay warm everybody because it looks like snow/rain/sleet/hail is coming for us tonight. YIKES!
Fair Isle Cardigan from Forever 21(Christmas present) $34.80
White Button Down from Wet Seal (this year) $10.50 here is one like it.
Khaki Skinny Jeans from Wet Seal (this year) $24.99
Now, I don't normally like shopping at Wet Seal, but sometimes I get on the website and find some great deals on classy items!
Chestnut Tall Ugg Boots $195 My mom and I share these, so we get double the use out of them. They were definitely worth every penny!
Simple Pearl Earrings (not real) were a gift from my fabulous friend Angie about 3 years ago! :)
