This weekend we attended The Nutcracker ballet and we went out to dinner before. It was such a fun evening making memories with the girls! The girls absolutely loved it! The girls loved getting dressed up for it too!

The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are always so exciting at school. I'm attempting a handprint calendar gift for parents this year. It's turning out SO cute, but wow is it a lot of work. I've had students absent every day, so that has also made it hard. This week I'm hope to finish the hand prints, so we just need to add the extra things and we will be done! Teacher Sweater Outfit

Happy December!!! 

This morning we started some Christmas festivities with a Book and Brush event at a local shop called Painters Pottery. They read "Pick a Pine" book (It was SO cute!) and painted their own pine tree. The girls had so much fun! Their Gran and I had fun helping them too! 

Tomorrow we are having Breakfast with Santa! It is a fun filled weekend and it's really getting us into the Christmas spirit!!

Neutral Outfit for Teachers

These overalls are just so comfortable! They don't stretch, but are loose enough to be so comfortable. This was my Thanksgiving outfit. It was cute and casual. I can't wait to wear it to school too. 

I took this picture before Thanksgiving and I went and got my hair done. It was nice to be pampered a little bit during break. I also took the girls to get their flu shots that day too. They did so great! I was so proud of them.

We had our first snow this week, on Halloween day, and my girls were the most excited I had seen them in a long time. Their excitement made me really excited too! They played and caught snowflakes on their tongues. It was so cute. It really put us in the holiday spirit even though it's early.

This week was so busy and it included my two year old getting a stomach bug. It was her very first one, so she was pretty helpless. Thankfully it was short lived and she was feeling better pretty quickly! Having sick kids is never fun and your always wondering when the next one will get it.

Pink Midi Skirt and Sweater Outfit

This week was extremely busy!!! We had something every single night including little Sutton's birthday on Thursday. Scarlett had her first field trip to the pumpkin patch! I was so excited I got to go with her. Last year when I went with Sophia is was so cold, but this year it was so warm. It was perfect! She had the best day! Sophia had a cheer clinic this week and she was able to cheer at the high school pep rally and at the homecoming football game last night. She LOVED being a real cheerleader!

October Outfit!!

I can't believe we have already made it to October. We celebrated my almost 2 year old this weekend! She turns 2 on Thursday this week. She had such a fun birthday celebration with her family this weekend. I was absolutely exhausted on Sunday afterwards. Do you ever feel extremely tired after hosting a party at your home? Some people can host things all of the time and I don't know how they do it!!! Haha! I wish I had the time and energy! It's always worth it seeing how excited they are seeing that everyone is there for them! It's the best!!!

 I'm heading to the pumpkin patch with my daughter on her preschool field trip this week. It's also in the 80s this week, so it's still very warm! My oldest had 2 hour delay for fog this morning and she had pajama day! I was definitely jealous of her Monday! Haha!

Classroom to Soccer Field

My oldest daughter plays soccer. This is her second season and she really enjoys it. This season she is on the same team as her cousin. It's so cute to watch them cheer each other on. They are the luckiest to have each other.

These outfits work for the classroom and then to the soccer field. I'm a huge fan of the tennis skorts. They are cute and comfortable. I bought this tennis dress off Amazon and love it because the shorts underneath are separate. They have it in a ton of colors too! I feel like I might get it in another color next summer.

Polka Dot Sweater

This weekend we went to a Train concert with my husband's work! We had the absolute BEST time!! My husband and I don't get out much, so it was definitely a special evening! We talked about it the rest of the weekend. We went with our favorite people, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. The concert was amazing!!!

They aren't high waisted, which is totally my jam but they are so so comfortable. This gray color matches everything too. I just wore them with a yellow top this week.

Sophia had a great first week! She was exhausted, but is absolutely loving it!

Scarlett is still having a hard time, but her teacher said on Friday she was really coming out of her shell and starting to be social with some of the other kids. It makes me SO happy. I just wish she would stop crying every day when I leave. My Mama heart hurts every single time.

Olive Dress

This week started all of the busy things! I had a meeting every single morning, my oldest started soccer and Sophia and Scarlett started dance. The good thing about the busyness was my house was cleaned from the long weekend and because we were so busy it stayed clean until Thursday when they girls got out their toys to play after school. We call them tiny tornadoes! I clean and then 5 minutes later our house is covered again with toys. Everyone says one day I will miss the toys and clutter and one day my house will be clean again. Ha! Ha! 

I wore this super comfy dress this week. It's completely bump friendly. I've worn it all the way to my third trimester before. It was extremely humid this week and rained on and off a few days. One day my class came in soaked from recess and they were laughing so hard telling me all about it. What a great memory!

Jeans Day But Professional

Oh, how I love a jeans day when it isn't 90 degrees outside! It's been way too hot to even wear jeans yet on our jeans day. When the temperatures cool down a little bit, I can't wait to wear this outfit!

It's a great transition to fall outfit too. I absolutely love the color of this top for fall.

Most of the time I love to wear graphic tees or hoodies with my jeans, but sometimes I want to wear jeans and look professional. I have a meeting next Monday and it's a jeans day, so this outfit would be perfect!

Patriotic Teacher Outfit

Labor Day weekend is coming up, so I thought this was a perfect outfit for this week! I love any chance I can get, to wear my patriotic earrings! 

I'm ready to start sharing fall outfits, but it's still just too hot here in Ohio. The mornings and nights have been cooler, so we start the day off with a denim jacket or cardigan and then end up in tank tops or short sleeves by the end of the school day.

Hot Pink Flowy Dress

It was a hot and humid week last week, so french braids and flowy dress were a MUST!!!

I wore this outfit on the hottest day last week and I was so comfortable and didn't melt. Thank goodness for flowy dresses! I also wore this dress pregnant, so it's definitely bump friendly.

Classic Outfit

Tomorrow is FRI-YAY!!! It's my favorite day of the week and it means I've made it through week one of this school year with my new first graders. Woo hoo!

It's been extremely hot this week at school, but thankfully when we take a morning recess it's still a little cool and breezy. I'm going to miss the summer weather when it leaves, so I'm not complaining!

First Day of School!

Today is the first day of school!! This is my 11th year teaching, but my 10th year teaching first grade!! My team all got these matching shirts from Jane to wear today. 

My feelings on the first day are always the same! I'm always nervous and excited! Ever since I was a little girl, I would always feel that way about the first day of school. I'll never forget my first day of college. I had an 8:00 AM class and I woke up early and wore a cute outfit. Everyone knows to try and avoid an 8:00 AM class in college at all costs! While I was walking to class, someone stopped me and said "You look way too excited for an 8:00 AM class". Lol!

Yellow Makes Me Happy

This dress just makes me feel happy because of the color!!! Maybe because it's the color of the sunshine and the sunshine makes me happy!

 I've worn this dress for quite a few occasions. I've worn it with a jean jacket and sneakers in the spring and in the summer, this is how I wear it! 

Everyone needs a yellow dress in their closet because not only does it make me happy while wearing it, I feel like it makes the people and students around me happy too! I know when I see someone in a yellow outfit it makes me want to smile and it also makes me think "I love and need that outfit!"

I got this dress on clearance the other day! I knew it would be perfect for the classroom and very comfortable! Being a teacher of younger students, I am constantly up and down all day long, so I usually wear biker shorts under my dresses. You never know...and if it's windy at recess you want to be comfortable!!! If you are a teacher, do you wear shorts under your dresses?

Overalls Outfit for Teachers

This outfit is another one that will be a good transition to Fall outfit with the neutral tones. It's also that AMAZING bodysuit again!! Do you wear overalls in the classroom? Do you wear jumpsuits in the classroom? We are already short on time for going to the bathroom! I've worn overalls, but I haven't worn a jumpsuit yet. Of course I think about wearing things that are easy to go to the bathroom in when at school, but I think jumpsuits are so cute!!!

Easy Outfit to Recreate!

We are getting ready to head to the lake later this week for one last trip before school starts. My grandma lives on the lake, so it's an added bonus that we get to enjoy the lake every time we visit her!! My mom grew up going there, I grew up going there and now I get to share it with my girls! They absolutely LOVE going to the lake and it's only about 2 hours from our house. We are enjoying every last minute of summer!

I just got this skirt this summer because I knew I would wear it a ton of ways in the classroom! I could wear a sweater with a front tuck into the fall. You could also wear a plaid shirt tied around the waist if its chilly in the morning and warmer in the afternoon.

Bodysuit Outfit

Is there one thing you feel like you can splurge on? For me, I definitely will splurge on a bodysuit if it can actually smooth out all of the imperfections and make me feel the way I do in this one. This bodysuit is so comfortable and makes this Mama of three feel SO confident. I've been wearing it on repeat this summer!!! I've worn it with white overalls and with jean shorts. This is how I will wear it when we go back to school. It was definitely worth the price with how often I wear it! I already have ideas on how to wear it into the fall too!

This skirt also goes with everything! I've worn it with many different graphic tees, which is my favorite way to style a midi skirt. In the fall, you can wear a denim jacket over it with some sneakers. 

I always think about all of the ways I can style and wear things when I buy clothes. This bodysuit and midi skirt are both so versatile and go with so much and can be styled so many ways! They both are closet staples for me!

Special Occasion Outfit

Sometimes you have special occasions to dress up for at school. If it's picture day, open house, or conferences I usually dress a little fancier! This dress definitely makes a statement and as soon as I saw it, I had to have it!!! I love the print, the bubble sleeves, the buttons, and the tie at the waist. 

I will definitely be saving this dress for a special occasion! I feel like it needs an introduction, so here we go. Ha ha!

My Go-to Outfit: Midi, Graphic, and Sneakers

During the warmer months of school, this is always my go-to outfit!! I love a good midi skirt, graphic tee, and sneakers! It's so comfortable and cute! It's the perfect way to dress up your favorite graphic tees. I have so many combinations of this outfit, but here is one of my favorites! I like to add a fun earring to the outfit too! 

This outfit is almost completely from Amazon except my shoes! I LOVE Amazon! Also, I get all of my star sneakers from Talulah, but you can also find them on Shu Shop because that is what brand they are! They are my FAVORITE!

I got an email that my room is clean and ready to be set up, so I think I will take the girls next week to help me get started on some things. 

It also means I need to soak in these last few weeks of summer with my girls. The memories we make together in the summer is my favorite thing!! It has been such a fun and busy summer with them!!

Transition to Fall Outfit

My husband requested a trip to Bass Pro Shops this past weekend and the girls just love seeing the boats and the fish tank. It's about 30 minutes away from where we live. I asked if we could stop at Target and TJ Maxx while we were there because we don't have a Target in our small town. 

I love shopping at other TJ Maxx stores because sometimes you find better deals or more of a selection! We found some cute fall clothes for the girls and I found this cute short sleeve sweater that is Jessica Simpson brand. It will be a perfect transition to fall piece when we go back to school. Also, who doesn't love an all neutral colored outfit. It's so classy and will never go out of style!

Someone I saw on Instagram said, don't sleep on Zara jeans because they are that good. Well, I ordered my first pair of jeans and a pair of shorts and it's so true!! They are a true firm denim that sucks in your Mama belly. They make you feel amazing!! I will say they run sales a lot, so wait for them to go on sale! They are definitely worth the price though!!

Meet The Teacher Outfit

When it comes to Meet the Teacher Night, you want to be comfortable, but cute. This is their first impression of you, so I always want to look like a super fun and kind teacher. I was just talking about this with some of my friends who aren't teachers, but I told them afterwards I am ALWAYS overanalyzing every conversation I had that evening. I ask myself so many questions like "Did I say the right thing?" "Was I awkward?" "Do you think they like me?" 

 Is any other teacher the same way???

It's usually pretty hot during this school event, so I make sure to dress cool as well. Thankfully we do have air conditioning, but with all of the people in the school it gets very warm! 🥵

Barbie Pink Outfit for the Classroom

I'm BACK!!!! I have missed blogging SO much that my super supportive husband motivated me to start again. Thanks to him, I am back and I'm so excited to start the next chapter of blogging as a busy Mama of three little girls! I may even share some of their outfits on here as well. My oldest, Sophia will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall and my middle daughter, Scarlett will be going to preschool. Of course they already have their first day of school outfits picked out because we get a little excited about school around here! 

I know it's still summer, but I'm always thinking about outfits I can wear in the classroom. Because the Barbie movie came out this week, I'm sharing a Barbie pink outfit that you can wear in the classroom and you could wear it to the Barbie movie as well! I also consider this Amy inspired because my favorite color is pink 🩷!!
