Christmas Break!

Does anyone else LOVE after Christmas sales at the stores? This girl does! Especially because my man's birthday is today and I need those sales to get him the perfect presents for great deals! Colin shares my love of anything sweet!! I got him a cookies and cream ice cream cake for his birthday. Don't worry, he reads my blog and already snooped and saw the cake. Ha! I tried to be sneaky, putting it on the bottom shelf of the freezer in the garage and he already saw it! I can't wait to have a bite of it! YUM!
This weather has been crazy! It hasn't been too cold and we haven't gotten any snow. I was hoping for a white Christmas, but it didn't happen...

Leopard!

I received some fabulous gifts from my family for Christmas. They know me so well!! My mom got me these gorgeous Leopard Boots, I have had my eye on for awhile. I LOVE them! She also got me four different PoppyClips, which I've been wanting some for a long time. One pair of PoppyClips were leopard, so they match my boots perfectly. Of course I had to wear them the day right after Christmas. I couldn't wait! :)

Winter Wedding!

One of the teachers at my school got married yesterday! It was the first winter wedding that I've attended. It was absolutely beautiful. All of the decorations were simple and elegant with burlap, lace, pearls, and baby's breath. It was so classy. They had a cookie bar and a hot cocoa bar! Perfect for this time of year and delicious too. I had so much fun with all of the other staff members from school.

Very Merry Christmas!

I had a very merry Christmas! It was jam packed and full of being with my family and Colin's family. So many laughs were shared and memories were made! The fun Christmas festivities started with our Christmas Eve church services.

Colin and I Christmas Eve

On Christmas morning, my mom got Christmas jammies for her, my grandma, and I!

This is the second year our family has done an Ugly Sweater Christmas. Last year was so fun that we decided to do it again! Oh man did we have some laughs! :) It was so much fun!

My cousin and I not only had ugly sweaters, but we had ugly tree skirts too! Ha!

Christmas Traditions!

Christmas time is my favorite time of year! All of the traditions, just make me feel comforted and at home. I love how everyone travels home for the holidays because it's a tradition. I love decorating for Christmas, putting up the tree, putting on all of the ornaments, hanging your stockings, putting lights outside of your house, and the traditions go on and on. I love how warm and welcoming it makes our little town look with all of the lights and decorations outside. I love giving gifts and especially shopping for the perfect gifts and walking into every store and they are playing my favorite Christmas songs. I love watching Christmas movies with my family, especially the Hallmark channel. I love going to Christmas Eve service to celebrate Jesus' Birthday and be thankful for this holiday. I love getting together with all of my family members at my parents' house. I could go on and on about why Christmas is so amazing and all of the traditions that make it so wonderful, but I need t stop before I get carried away! Ha! I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas! Enjoy every moment!

I have officially finished my Christmas shopping! It feels so good to be done and have everything wrapped. I always love giving gifts and being creative with my gifts. My favorite part is watching people open the gifts I give them and seeing their reaction. It's the best feeling, knowing you put a smile on someone's face and made them happy. Do you have all of your shopping done for the holidays?

I went to dinner this past weekend with my whole family, Colin, my aunt, uncle, cousin, and my grandma. It's so fun spending time with my family around the holidays. It's one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Everyone being together!

Christmas Fun!

The week before Christmas break, we did a lot of fun holiday activities in the classroom! We did Christmas Around the World and had fun activities for each country we "visited".We decorated stockings (paper bags) and everyone brought in stocking stuffers for the whole class, whether it was a pencil for everyone, a card for everyone, a piece of candy, etc. They had so much fun opening their stockings on Friday!

 In our class we had Grinch Day! We all wore green and I hung green streamers from the door. Every worksheet was copied on green paper. We also did a Grinch mystery number picture and I gave them all green candy canes. We had a lot of Grinchy Fun!

We have been working hard on our doubles addition facts! We made "double mints"! They loved it because the end result looked just like a mint! :)

On Friday, we had the cutest little treat and I got some very sweet and thoughtful presents from my lovely students. It melted my heart how thoughtful their gifts were.

Christmas Shopping!

Wow! It's been awhile! I hate being too busy to blog because I love blogging. I have missed it so much, but I've been extremely busy with school. I'm officially on Christmas break now! Yay!

Last weekend, all of my high school best friends got together and went Christmas shopping, went to a yummy dinner, and had a slumber party. It was so much fun!!!

Winter Blue

This past week was crazy busy, so I enjoyed a relaxing weekend. I did some Christmas shopping and watched the Ohio State game with Colin and his family. It was fun! I also, got to catch up on some Hallmark Christmas movies (my favorite). :)

This coming week isn't supposed to be too busy, so we will see how it turns out! I'm excited to start a new readers theater with my class for Christmas. They did so good on the one we read during Halloween week, I know they will do even better with this one!

Polka Dots and Stripes!

I'm absolutely in love with this polka dot and striped sweater!!! I just got it from TJ Maxx and I've worn it about three times already! It is definitely sweater weather and I'm loving every minute of it! Do you have favorite sweaters that are on repeat this year? :)

I absolutely love this time of year! Christmas movies, Christmas decorations, lots of lights inside and outside, everyone seems so happy, giving gifts of love and happiness to others, lots and lots of Christmas cookies and sweets, etc.

Holiday Green Cords

Today we have a scheduled 2 hour delay and teachers have meetings all morning. I have to attend A.L.I.C.E. Training for the third time....that training never gets easier to sit through. Its so scary!

Tomorrow all of the first graders are going to meet their penpals at a local business and sing Christmas carols for them. We made gifts to give to them and I believe Santa will be making an appearance. :)

Thursday after school, I get to go shopping for an amazing fundraiser called Clothe-A-Child. Students who don't have money to buy new clothes, get nominated and are able to go shopping to buy brand new clothes for Christmas. It's such an amazing thing that we are able to do for the kids. My mom is going shopping with one of the students too.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break was so lovely! It went so fast! I enjoyed spending a lot of time with my family and Colin. I also enjoyed decorating for Christmas in my classroom and at my home. During break, you couldn't get me out of my jeans and comfy clothes!
